After I started presenting my research to the public in 2010 I was targeted by lobby groups who were disparaging my research with fabricated information. Many lobby groups are funded by industry to promote industry interests. The subscribers of the Australian Skeptics lobby groups did not debate the science, they provided false information to the mainstream media and social media, in an attempt to discredit my research. The Australian media, of which >70% is now owned by Murdoch’s News Ltd Corporation is allowing individuals from lobby groups to promote their opinions of vaccination without requiring them to acknowledge their affiliations with particular lobby groups or providing balanced coverage of the vaccination debate.
